CHALLENGE & STRATEGY: I design wedding invitation sets (save the dates, invitations, RSVP’s and websites) using couples’ relationship artifacts as the design motif. Unlike using a standard template, this strategy makes every invitation unique, special and fun.I designed this invitation for Elena and Michael using objects and artifacts from their relationship. This included a bookmark from the bookstore where they met, a wine cork from their favorite winery and a magnet of their favorite Van Gogh painting. The dark blue background was inspired by the full-moon sky theme for their ceremony.The RSVP card includes a space for guests to RSVP for the wedding and the pre-wedding luncheon. Guests can also request a song for the reception, fill in how excited they are, how much they will drink and if they want a vegetarian or meat dinner. It is both fun and practical!
